Oooh... Depends... Some things just sound better on Vinyl... For example, the Beatles are best on vinyl, but Katy Perry has to be on CD... Overall, I'd probably say vinyl, but my REAL answer is "Whatever the music's original format was."
BTW, I also prefer corn on the cob... I usually use melted butter with a little pepper and seasoned salt... However, my neighbor actually puts mayonnaise on it and for as disgusting as I thought it would be, it was pretty damn good... Needed something tough... Seasoned salt? Adobo? Can't put my finger on it. He said it's how the Mexican street vendors serve it in downtown Chicago. (So, they probably put on Adobo or some other Mexican spice.)
Mashed potatoes... According to Jeffrey Steingarten, the best mashed potato recipe in the world is... 2 pounds of potatoes, 1 pound of butter, 1 tablespoon of salt... Sounds too easy, but hey, he's one of the top food critics int he world, so who am I to argue?
